The following is the translation of 「ビタミンME」 (Vitamin ME), a new tie-up song by BEYOOOOONDS with KAGOME’s ONEDAY vegetable drink. (Editing credit: Shelliana)
Takase: Blah blah blah…
I’ve been lecturing for the last 8 hours
on the necessity of fruits and vegetables, as well as vitamins—do you ladies understand?
All: Yes…
Satoyoshi: Say it like you mean it!
All: YES!
Satoyoshi: Professor, please continue.Takase: You folks are the wonderful VITAMIIIIINS!
Yamazaki: But professor, we’re BEYOOOOONDS
Takase: Yamazaki-san?
Yamazaki: We’re VITAMIIIIINS…
You’ve got some nerve to still call us BEYOOOOONDS at this point!
Maeda: What, me?!

There’s no such thing as being uselessThe path that wears your soles out
The friends you hang out with
You end up unintentionally being biased
Studying, love, fun, and work
You just have to maintain balanceSatoyoshi: There are a lot of vitamins in vegetables

*The main reason I decided to keep ヤンキー (yankii) as so was the oft-used term ‘delinquent’ doesn’t quite match up one-to-one. The underlying motive for yankii is “the importance of hanging out with friends, and being willing to use violence if people disturb that time,” not necessarily preferring violence or delinquent-like actions in the way English speakers see the word “delinquent.” It can also refer to youth who just dress/accessorize in yankii-like fashion.
This is Hello! Project’s second KAGOME tie-up, following Morning Musume ’14’s promotions in the summer of 2014.
